Abstract

Mangrove menyediakan berbagai fungsi alam seperti habitat untuk fauna dan flora, termasuk sebagai sumber pangan dan mata pencarian. Namun, secara global ekosistem mangrove telah mengalami deforestasi. Salah satunya adalah Provinsi Banten yang mengalami penurunan luas lahan mangrove sebesar 1.027 ha pada tahun 2017 s.d. 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penurunan pendapatan masyarakat akibat kehilangan luas lahan mangrove di Kecamatan Teluknaga. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan change in productivity dan sistem informasi geografis, penelitian ini menghitung nilai guna langsung atas ekosistem mangrove Teluknaga sebesar Rp48.519.111.117,- per tahun dari luas 188 hektar mangrove pada tahun 2024. Selain itu, terjadi penurunan luas ekosistem mangrove Teluknaga sebesar 33,78% atau seluas 95,89 hektar. Penurunan luas ini mengakibatkan adanya penurunan nilai guna langsung ekosistem mangrove sebesar Rp15.817.773.253,- atau sekitar 24,59%. Penilaian ekonomi berperan dalam mengetahui pentingnya keberadaan ekosistem mangrove serta kontribusinya terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan dan ekonomi masyarakat. Mangroves provide various natural functions such as habitats for fauna and flora, including as a source of food and livelihood. However, globally, mangrove forests have experienced deforestation. One of the areas affected is Banten Province, which saw a decrease in mangrove area by 1,027 hectares from 2017 to 2022. This study aims to identify the decline in community income due to the loss of mangrove area in Teluknaga District. Using change in productivity approach and geographic information systems, this study calculates the direct use value of the Teluknaga mangrove ecosystem at IDR 48,519,111,117,- per year from an area of 188 hectares of mangroves in 2024. Additionally, there was a reduction in the Teluknaga mangrove ecosystem area by 33.78% or 95.89 hectares. This reduction resulted in a decrease in the direct use value of the mangrove ecosystem by IDR 15,817,773,253 or approximately 24.59%. Economic assessment plays a role in understanding the importance of mangrove ecosystems and their contribution to environmental sustainability and the economic welfare of the community.
