Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profitabilitas perusahaan di subindustri tekstil melalui analisis terhadap rasio return on asset, rasio operating performance, dan rasio asset utilization untuk periode tahun 2019―2021. Periode tahun tersebut dipilih karena menggambarkan adanya perubahan situasi dan kondisi yang signifikan di setiap tahunnya akibat Pandemi Covid-19 khususnya dalam bidang perekonomian. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan komparatif. Data yang digunakan adalah laporan keuangan perusahaan di subindustri tekstil yang diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama tahun 2019―2021. Dalam pemilihan sampel, penulis menggunakan metode purposive sampling, sehingga ditentukan hanya 7 perusahaan yang dapat digunakan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pandemi memiliki dampak terhadap menurunnya rasio return on asset dan rasio operating performance, namun tidak terlalu berpengaruh terhadap rasio asset utilization perusahaan yang dianalisis selama tahun 2019―2021. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk (INDR) merupakan perusahaan dengan rasio return on asset dan rasio operating performance terbaik, sedangkan perusahaan dengan rasio asset utilization terbaik pada rentang waktu tersebut ditunjukkan oleh PT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk (POLY). / ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the profitability of companies in the textile sub-industry through an analysis of the return on assets ratio, operating performance ratio, and asset utilization ratio for 2019-2021. The years were chosen because it describes a significant change in situation and conditions every year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the economic field. This research was conducted using a descriptive and comparative quantitative approach. The data used is the financial statements of companies in the textile sub-industry obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2019-2021. In selecting the sample, the authors used the purposive sampling method, so that only 7 companies were determined that could be used. The results of this study indicate that the pandemic has an impact on the decline in the return on assets ratio and operating performance ratio, but does not significantly affect the company's asset utilization ratio analyzed during 2019-2021. In addition, this study also shows that PT Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk (INDR) is the company with the best return on assets and operating performance ratios, in contrast, the company with the best asset utilization ratio in that period is shown by PT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk (POLY).
