Abstract

Karya tulis tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai financial distress, kondisi dimana keuangan perusahaan sedang dalam keadaan tidak sehat, tetapi belum sampai mengalami kebangkrutan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi perusahaan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi financial distress terlebih dahulu sebagai bahan evaluasi dan peringatan dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, mendeskripsikan, dan menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, likuiditas dan leverage terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan sektor industri rokok yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia saat sebelum pandemi dan ketika pandemi. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sektor industri rokok sebanyak empat perusahaan. Hasil dari penggunaan formula Altman untuk mendapatkan nilai Z menunjukan perusahaan dengan kategori sehat (tidak bangkrut), grey area atau bangkrut (kesulitan keuangan). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat dua perusahaan yang terindikasi sehat (tidak bangkrut), satu perusahaan mengalami perubahan dari sehat menjadi kategori grey area, dan satu perusahaan yang terindikasi pada kategori bangkrut (kesulitan keuangan)./This thesis discusses financial distress, a condition where the company's finances are in an unhealthy condition but has not yet experienced bankruptcy. Therefore, companies must first identify economic distress conditions as an evaluation material and early warning. This study aims to determine, describe, and analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity and leverage on financial distress in cigarette industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange before and during the pandemic. The population in this study were all four companies in the cigarette industry sector. Using the Altman formula to get the Z value shows companies in the healthy category (not bankrupt), a gray area or bankrupt (financial difficulties). The results of this study indicate that two companies are meant to be healthy (not bankrupt), one company has changed from healthy to the gray area category, and one company is indicated to be in the bankrupt category (financial difficulties).
