Abstract

Pembangunan ekonomi suatu daerah akan sangat berkaitan dengan pertumbuhan ekonominya. Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi dan berkelanjutan menjadi capaian mendasar bagi kelangsungan pembangunan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan daerah. Untuk menunjang hal tersebut, potensi sumber daya ekonomi yang dimiliki daerah harus dikelola dengan efektif dan efisien. Salah satu caranya ialah dengan mengoptimalkan sektor unggulan dan berpotensi untuk dapat dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui sektor yang menjadi unggulan dalam perekonomian Kabupaten Tebo. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa PDRB sektor ekonomi menurut lapangan usaha di Kabupaten Tebo dan Provinsi Jambi selama periode 5 tahun, yaitu 2016 – 2020. Data dianalisis menggunakan instrumen berupa Location Quotient, Shift-Share, Model Rasio Pertumbuhan, dan Overlay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa satu-satunya sektor ekonomi di Kabupaten Tebo yang memenuhi ketiga kriteria sebagai sektor unggulan ialah sektor pertanian, kehutanan, dan perikanan. Sektor tersebut merupakan sektor basis yang memiliki kecenderungan untuk terus tumbuh karena dinilai potensial dan progresif. / The economic development of a region will be closely related to its economic growth. High and sustainable economic growth is a fundamental achievement for sustainable development in improving welfare of the region. To support this, the potential of regional economic resources must be known so that regional planning becomes effective and efficient. One way is to optimally manage sectors that are superior and have the potential to be developed. This research aimed to investigate the leading sectors in the economy of Tebo Regency. This research was using GRDP by business field in Tebo Regency and Jambi Province for 5 years, 2016 – 2020. The data were analyzed using instruments such as Location Quotient, Shift-Share, Growth Ratio Model, and Overlay. The results showed that the economic sector in Tebo Regency that met the three criteria as the leading sector was the agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors. This sector is a basic sector that has tendency to grow because it is considered potential and progressive.
