Abstract
Masuknya Pandemi Covid-19 ke Indonesia pada awal tahun 2020 menimbulkan berbagai dampak pada masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Pemerintah merespons hal tersebut dengan menerapkan berbagai kebijakan pembatasan yang pada akhirnya menghambat aktivitas perekonomian masyarakat. Kebijakan pembatasan tersebut diterapkan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia termasuk di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sektor unggulan dan daya serap tenaga kerja Provinsi Jawa Tengah di masa Covid-19 yaitu pada tahun 2020. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat empat sektor ekonomi unggulan di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, yaitu 1) Industri Pengolahan; 2) Perdagangan Besar dan Eceran, Reparasi Mobil dan Sepeda Motor; 3) Penyediaan Akomodasi dan Makan Minum; dan 4) Jasa Pendidikan. Keempat sektor unggulan tersebut memiliki elastistas yang berbeda-beda, tiga sektor ekonomi unggulan termasuk dalam kategori elastis antara lain 1) Industri Pengolahan; 2) Penyediaan Akomodasi dan Makan Minum; dan 3) Jasa Pendidikan. Selain sektor dengan kategori elastis, juga terdapat satu sektor unggulan dengan kategori inelastis yaitu sektor Perdagangan Besar dan Eceran, Reparasi Mobil dan Sepeda Motor. / The entry of the Covid-19 Pandemic into Indonesia in early 2020 caused various impacts on society as a whole. The government responded to this by implementing various restrictive policies that ultimately hampered people's economic activities. The restriction policy is implemented in all regions of Indonesia, including in Central Java Province. This study aims to analyze the leading sectors and labor absorption capacity of Central Java Province during the Covid-19 period, namely in 2020. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that there are four leading economic sectors in Central Java Province, namely 1) Manufacturing Industry; 2) Wholesale and Retail Trade, Car and Motorcycle Repair; 3) Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink; and 4) Education Services. The four leading sectors have different elasticities, the three leading economic sectors are included in the elastic category, namely 1) Manufacturing Industry; 2) Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink; and 3) Education Services. In addition to the sector with the elastic category, there is also one leading sector with the inelastic category, namely the wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repairs.
