Abstract
"Pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi unggulan suatu wilayah berkolerasi signifkan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi secara agregat, peningkatan investasi, penyerapan tenaga kerja, dan penurunan tingkat kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sektor apa saja yang termasuk dalam sektor unggulan di Kota Medan pada tahun 2016-2020. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) Sumatera Utara 2016-2020 dan PDRB Medan 2016-2020. Metode yang digunakan adalah Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share (SS), Model Rasio Pertumbuhan (MRP), dan Overlay. Hasil analisis LQ menunjukkan bahwa sektor unggulan Kota Medan adalah sektor pengadaan air, sektor konstruksi, sektor perdagangan, sektor transportasi, sektor penyediaan akomodasi dan makan minum, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor jasa keuangan, sektor real estate, sektor jasa perusahaan, sektor jasa pendidikan, sektor jasa kesehatan, dan sektor jasa lainnya. Hasil analisis SS menunjukkan bahwa sektor unggulan Kota Medan adalah sektor pertanian, sektor pertambangan, sektor konstruksi, sektor perdagangan, sektor penyediaan akomodasi makan dan minum, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor real estate, sektor administrasi pemerintahan, dan sektor jasa pendidikan. Hasil analisis MRP menunjukkan bahwa sektor unggulan Kota Medan adalah sektor industri pengolahan, sektor pengadaan listrik, sektor pengadaan air, sektor perdagangan, sektor transportasi, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor jasa keuangan, sektor real estate, sektor jasa perusahaan, sektor administrasi pemerintahan, sektor jasa pendidikan, sektor jasa kesehatan, dan sektor jasa lainnya. Hasil analisis Overlay menunjukkan bahwa sektor unggulan Kota Medan adalah sektor perdagangan, sektor informasi dan komunikasi, sektor real estate, dan sektor jasa pendidikan. / The growth of the leading economic sector of a region has a significant correlation with aggregate economic growth, increased investment, employment, and reduced poverty levels. This study aims to analyze which sectors are included in the leading sectors in Medan City in 2016-2020. The data used is secondary data in the form of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of North Sumatra 2016-2020 and GRDP of Medan 2016-2020. The methods used are Location Quotient (LQ), Shift share (SS), Growth Ratio Model (MRP), and Overlay. The results of the LQ analysis show that the leading sectors of Medan City are the water supply sector, the construction sector, the trade sector, the transportation sector, the accommodation and food and beverage supply sector, the information and communication sector, the financial services sector, the real estate sector, the corporate services sector, the education services sector, the health services sector, and other service sectors. The results of the SS analysis show that the leading sectors of Medan City are the agricultural sector, the mining sector, the construction sector, the trade sector, the food and drink accommodation sector, the information and communication sector, the real estate sector, the government administration sector, and the education services sector. The results of the MRP analysis show that the leading sectors of Medan City are the manufacturing industry sector, the electricity supply sector, the water supply sector, the trade sector, the transportation sector, the information and communication sector, the financial services sector, the real estate sector, the corporate services sector, the government administration sector, the financial services sector, and the private sector. education services, health services sector, and other service sectors. The results of the Overlay analysis show that the leading sectors of Medan City are the trade sector, the information and communication sector, the real estate sector, and the education services sector.
