Abstract

Pembangunan nasional di sebuah negara memerlukan dukungan dari kualitas perekonomian yang baik pada masing-masing daerahnya. Pertumbuhan ekonomi pada suatu wilayah dapat ditunjukkan melalui angka pada Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) atau Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB). Untuk mendukung tingkat perekonomian yang tinggi, peran sektor ekonomi unggulan atau sektor basis ekonomi sangat dibutuhkan. Maka dari itu, tiap daerah perlu untuk mengidentifikasi sektor ekonomi unggulannya agar dapat memberikan perlakuan yang sesuai untuk memajukan kesejahteraan daerahnya. Penelitian ini akan meninjau sektor ekonomi unggulan beserta kontribusinya di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Adapun data yang diperoleh merupakan data sekunder dengan mengumpulkan data PDRB Kabupaten Banyuwangi yang sudah tersedia melalui laman resmi Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan 4 (empat) metode, yaitu Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift-share, dan Tipologi Klassen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan dari 17 (tujuh belas) sektor ekonomi, metode LQ membagi sektor ekonomi menjadi 5 sektor unggulan dan 12 sektor non-unggulan. Metode analisis yang lain juga menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas sektor ekonomi Banyuwangi tumbuh ke arah positif dan mampu menunjang PDRB Kabupaten Banyuwangi./ National development in a country requires the support of a good quality economy in each region. Economic growth in an area can be shown through the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures or Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The role of the leading economic sector or the economic base sector is very much needed to support a high level of the economy. Therefore, each region needs to identify its leading economic sector to provide appropriate treatment to advance the welfare of its area. This research will review the top economic sector and its contribution to Banyuwangi Regency. The data obtained is secondary data by collecting GRDP data for the Banyuwangi Regency, which is available through the official website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis in this study uses 4 (four) methods, namely Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift-share, and Klassen Typology. This study shows that from 17 economic sectors, the LQ method divides the economic sector into five leading sectors and twelve non-leading sectors. Other analytical methods also show that most of Banyuwangi's economic sectors are growing positively and can support the GRDP of the Banyuwangi Regency.
