Abstract
The phenomenon of global warming and the increasing emission of greenhouse gases have become significant environmental challenges. South Tangerang, as one of the cities with high pollution levels, faces escalating carbon emission issues. PKN STAN, with its extensive green open spaces, holds potential in carbon mitigation. This study aims to estimate carbon emissions from student dormitory activities, calculate the carbon sequestration needed through reforestation, and analyze the role of asset management in supporting an eco-office. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this research calculates carbon emissions based on electricity consumption and waste disposal over one academic year, reaching 394.124 tons of CO₂, with 98.85% originating from electricity consumption. To offset these emissions, 40–77 trees per year are required, depending on the type of trees planted. Asset management plays a crucial role in efficient energy management, the use of energy-saving devices, and the implementation of a circular economy system in waste management. Tangerang Selatan sebagai salah satu kota dengan tingkat polusi tinggi, menghadapi permasalahan emisi karbon yang meningkat. PKN STAN dengan ruang terbuka hijau yang luas, memiliki potensi dalam mitigasi karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi emisi karbon dari aktivitas asrama mahasiswa, menghitung kebutuhan serapan karbon melalui penghijauan, serta menganalisis peran manajemen aset dalam mendukung eco office. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menghitung emisi karbon berdasarkan konsumsi listrik dan buangan limbah selama satu tahun akademik yang mencapai 394,124 ton CO₂, dengan 98,85% berasal dari konsumsi listrik. Untuk mengimbangi emisi ini, diperlukan 40–77 pohon per tahun, bergantung pada jenis pohon yang ditanam. Manajemen aset berperan dalam pengelolaan energi yang efisien, penggunaan perangkat hemat daya, serta penerapan sistem circular economy dalam pengelolaan limbah.
