Abstract

ABSTRAK Pantai Teluk Penyu merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata unggulan di Kabupaten Cilacap yang memiliki potensi ekonomi tinggi. Namun, degradasi lingkungan, khususnya pencemaran akibat sampah laut, telah menurunkan daya tarik wisata dan berdampak pada lamanya tinggal serta pendapatan wisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, menilai nilai ekonomi wisata menggunakan travel cost method (TCM), mengukur pengaruh kerusakan lingkungan yaitu sampah laut terhadap pengeluaran wisatawan, serta menganalisis kesediaan membayar (willingness to pay/WTP) wisatawan dan masyarakat untuk pelestarian pantai menggunakan contingent valuation method (CVM). Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap wisatawan dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya perjalanan, usia, dan tingkat pendidikan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, sementara lama tinggal dan keterbatasan alternatif destinasi berpengaruh positif. Nilai ekonomi wisata Pantai Teluk Penyu diperkirakan mencapai Rp748,58 juta per tahun, dengan potensi kehilangan pendapatan akibat sampah laut khususnya styrofoam mencapai 6,03% hingga 34,67%. Rata-rata WTP wisatawan untuk konservasi pantai adalah Rp10.870,00 per kunjungan dan masyarakat Rp8.850,00 per tahun, dengan total kontribusi ekonomi sebesar Rp1,63 miliar per tahun. Temuan ini menunjukkan urgensi pengelolaan lingkungan yang lebih baik serta optimalisasi strategi wisata berkelanjutan di Pantai Teluk Penyu. However, environmental degradation, particularly pollution caused by marine debris, has reduced its attractiveness and impacted the length of stay and tourism revenue. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing tourist visits, assess the economic value of tourism using the travel cost method (TCM), measure the impact of environmental degradation, specifically marine debris, on tourist expenditures, and evaluate tourists' and local communities' willingness to pay (WTP) for beach conservation using the contingent valuation method (CVM). Data were collected through surveys of tourists and local residents. The results show that travel costs, age, and education level negatively affect tourist visits, while length of stay and the lack of alternative destinations positively influence visits. The estimated economic value of Teluk Penyu Beach is Rp748.58 million per year, with potential revenue losses due to marine debris, particularly styrofoam waste, ranging from 6.03% to 34.67%. The average WTP for beach conservation is Rp10,870,00 per visit for tourists and Rp8,850,00 per year for locals, contributing a total economic value of Rp1.63 billion per year. These findings highlight the urgency of better environmental management and optimizing sustainable tourism strategies at Teluk Penyu Beach.
