Abstract
"Pertumbuhan kawasan perkotaan secara global telah menyebabkan degradasi ekosistem, termasuk di Kota Tangerang Selatan yang mengalami peningkatan area terbangun. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori jasa ekosistem dan konsep ekspansi perkotaan sebagai landasan teoretis untuk memahami dampak perubahan tutupan lahan yang disebabkan ekspansi perkotaan terhadap nilai jasa ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis spasial dengan data citra Landsat dan metode transfer manfaat untuk menilai nilai jasa ekosistem. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson dan Moran's I untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan spasial antara ekspansi perkotaan dan nilai jasa ekosistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahun 2008—2024, Tangerang Selatan mengalami peningkatan lahan perkotaan dengan cepat yang diikuti dengan turunnya total nilai jasa ekosistem. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan ekspansi perkotaan berhubungan negatif dengan total nilai jasa ekosistem, yang terlihat dari peningkatan luas lahan terbangun yang berbanding terbalik dengan nilai jasa ekosistem di wilayah tersebut. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengendalian laju ekspansi perkotaan melalui kebijakan tata guna lahan berkelanjutan serta penguatan koordinasi antar pengambil kebijakan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem di Kota Tangerang Selatan. The global growth of urban areas has led to ecosystem degradation, including in South Tangerang City, which has experienced an increase in built-up areas. This research uses ecosystem service theory and the concept of urban expansion as its theoretical foundation to understand the impact of land cover changes caused by urban expansion on ecosystem service values. The methods employed include spatial analysis using Landsat imagery data and the benefit transfer method to assess ecosystem service values. This study utilizes Pearson correlation analysis and Moran's I to identify the spatial relationship between urban expansion and ecosystem service values. The results show that from 2008 to 2024, South Tangerang experienced rapid urban land growth, accompanied by a decline in total ecosystem service values. The correlation analysis reveals that urban expansion has a negative relationship with total ecosystem service values, that is the increase in built-up land area inversely correlating with ecosystem service values in the region. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of controlling the rate of urban expansion through sustainable land-use policies and strengthening coordination among policymakers to maintain ecosystem sustainability in South Tangerang City.
