Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan arah bisnis dari PT PELNI yang dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis akuntansi. Analisis yang digunakan berupa analisis kinerja keuangan, analisis rasio profitabilitas, dan analisis lainnya. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan, dimana penulis melakukan studi penelaahan terhadap informasi baik cetak dan elektronik dari buku-buku sains, laporan penelitian, jurnal ilmiah, peraturan, undang-undang, ensiklopedia, dan sumber ilmiah lainnya. Selain itu, penulis juga menggunakan metode analisis konten, dimana konten berupa dokumen pendukung berupa laporan keuangan PT PELNI, artikel terkait perusahaan baik dari website resmi maupun sumber ilmiah lainnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga hasil. Hasil penelitian pertama menunjukkan bahwa kinerja keuangan perusahaan dari tahun 2016 sampai 2020 tidak mengalami tren yang positif, namun cenderung mengalami tren negatif, walau ada di tahun tertentu mengalami kenaikan, tetapi kecenderungan tetap turun. Hasil penelitian yang kedua menunjukkan bahwa rasio profitabilitas perusahaan di tahun 2016 sampai 2020 tidak mengalami peningkatan setiap tahun, justru cenderung mengalami penurunan dari tahun ke tahun. Hasil penelitian yang ketiga menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan memiliki kecenderungan sebagai perusahaan social oriented. Dimana fokus perusahaan adalah untuk melakukan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, walaupun sebagai BUMN juga tidak melupakan tujuan umum yaitu mencari laba. Terlebih sebagai perusahaan BUMN yang ditunjuk oleh pemerintah sebagai pelaksana Public Service Obligation (PSO) yang menjadikan perusahaan sebagai operator utama khususnya dalam angkutan laut. Saat adanya program tol laut, pemerintah semakin mengarahkan perusahaan untuk melayani kepentingan masyarakat dalam menggunakan moda angkutan laut, disamping menjalankan tugas sebagai perusahaan pencari laba./ This study aims to determine the tendency of the business direction of PT PELNI which is carried out by conducting accounting analysis. The analysis used is in the form of financial performance analysis, profitability ratio analysis, and other analyzes. This research data collection uses the literature study method, where the author conducts a review study of both printed and electronic information from science books, research reports, scientific journals, regulations, laws, encyclopedias, and other scientific sources. In addition, the author also uses the content analysis method, where the content is in the form of supporting documents in the form of PT PELNI's financial reports, company-related articles from both the official website and other scientific sources. This study shows three results. The results of the first study showed that the company's financial performance from 2016 to 2020 did not experience a positive trend, but tended to experience a negative trend, although in certain years there was an increase, but the trend remained down. The results of the second study show that the company's profitability ratios in 2016 to 2020 do not increase every year, instead tend to decrease from year to year. The results of the third study indicate that the company has a tendency as a social oriented company. Where the focus of the company is to provide services to the community, even though as a state-owned company, it also does not forget its general goal of making profit. Especially as a state-owned company appointed by the government as the executor of the Public Service Obligation (PSO) which makes the company the main operator, especially in sea transportation. During the sea highway program, the government increasingly directed companies to serve the interests of the community in using sea transportation modes, in addition to carrying out their duties as profit-seeking companies.
