Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan merupakan suatu wadah untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia demi mewujudkan cita-cita bangsa yaitu mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Untuk mendukung mewujudkan cita-cita bangsa tersebut, pendidikan menengah atas SMA Negeri 3 Binjai telah menerapkan sistem informasi akuntansi dalam mengelola kegiatan operasional maupun non operasional sekolah yang berkaitan dengan sumber daya manusia maupun data-data. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran serta informasi mengenai prosedur dalam proses penggajian serta pengendalian internal yang dilakukan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi kepustakaan, observasi di lapangan, dan wawancara. Data-data yang diperoleh dari objek penelitian kemudian ditinjau dengan menggunakan tabel perbandingan antara teori sistem informasi akuntansi siklus penggajian dengan praktik di lapangan. Kemudian hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum proses penggajian di SMA Negeri 3 Binjai telah berjalan efektif dan efisien. Selain itu, pengendalian internal yang dilakukan oleh SMA Negeri 3 Binjai juga telah efektif dan efisien dalam memitigasi berbagai jenis ancaman yang mungkin dapat terjadi selama proses penggajian. / Educational institutions are a place to improve the quality of human resources in order to realize the ideals of the nation, namely educating the nation's life. To support the realization of the nation's ideals, SMA Negeri 3 Binjai has implemented an accounting information system in managing operational and non-operational school activities related to human resources and data. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview and information about the procedures in the payroll process and the internal controls carried out. The data collection methods used are literature study, field observation, and interviews. The data obtained from the object of research is then reviewed using a comparison table between the theory of the payroll cycle accounting information system and practices in the field. Then the results of the study show that in general the payroll process at SMA Negeri 3 Binjai has run effectively and efficiently. In addition, the internal controls carried out by SMA Negeri 3 Binjai have also been effective and efficient in mitigating various types of threats that may occur during the payroll process.
