Abstract

Industri furnitur dari kayu mengalami pertumbuhan positif tiap tahunnya yang diharapkan dapat berbanding lurus dibidang perpajakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses bisnis dan seberapa besar potensi pajak penghasilan dari industri furnitur dari kayu di KPP Pratama Palembang Seberang Ulu. Dalam penelitian ini, objek penelitian hanya berfokus pada potensi pajak penghasilan dari UMKM di industri furnitur dari kayu dan penulis mengambil KPP Pratama Palembang Seberang Ulu sebagai lokasi objek penelitian. Fokus topik akan dibatasi pada perbandingan data internal yang diperoleh dari KPP Pratama PSU dan data eksternal yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber terkait dengan keberlangsungan bisnis industri furnitur dari kayu di kota Palembang yang pada penilitian ini berfokus di daerah Seberang Ulu. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode studi kepustakaan dengan menggunakan UndangUndang, Peraturan Pemerintah, Buku, Artikel, dan sumber lain, dan metode penelitian lapangan dengan melakukan wawancara dan observasi langsung ke lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa masih kurangnya kesadaran wajib pajak untuk memenuhi kewajibannya dan terdapat potensi pajak penghasilan di sektor UMKM industri furnitur dari kayu./ The wood furniture industry experiences positive growth every year which is expected to be directly proportional to its taxation sector. This study aims to determine the business process and how big the income tax potential from the wood furniture industry at KPP Pratama Palembang Seberang Ulu. In this study, the object of research only focuses on the income tax potential of MSMEs in the wood furniture industry and the author takes KPP Pratama Palembang Seberang Ulu as the location of the object of research. The focus of the topic will be limited to the comparison of internal data obtained from KPP Pratama PSU and external data obtained from various sources related to the business continuity of the wood furniture industry in the city of Palembang, which in this research focuses on the Seberang Ulu area. The data collection method used is the literature study method using laws, government regulations, books, articles, and other sources, and field research methods by conducting interviews and direct observations in the field. The results of this study indicate that there is still a lack of awareness of taxpayers to fulfill their obligations and there is a potential income tax in the MSME sector of the wood furniture industry.
